WHAT IS BOOTCAMP?
Bootcamp is one hour of military style outdoor training designed to challenge all aspects of your health and fitness.
WHERE IS BOOTCAMP HELD?
• Christchurch Park on Sunday
starts prompt at 10am
Go to Fonnerau Road entrance of the park
and we meet at the Cenotaph War Memorial.
• Bourne Park on Wednesday
starts prompt at 7pm
Arrive at Wherstead Road entrance
and we meet in the car park area.
• Felixstowe Seafront on Saturday
starts prompt at 9am
Meet outside the Spa Pavillion.
WHY BOOTCAMP?
• It is outdoor training at its best.
• Experienced instructors teach correct techniques and give advice and guidance where required.
• You will be challenged mentally as well as physically.
• You will see and feel the difference in a short period of time.
WHAT SORT OF RESULTS WILL I GET?
The benefits of BOOTCAMP include but are not limited to;
• Increased level of fitness
• Weight loss
• Increased muscle tone.
• You will also feel a great sense of achievement and feel more confident in all areas of your life.
DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO DO BOOTCAMP?
Of course not, that's why you are coming to us. Whilst we train as one group, the group is split into 3 teams according to each person’s fitness level. There are three different bib colours so that we can identify each group easily.
WHAT DOES A BOOTCAMP SESSION CONSIST OF?
Each session is different and can include but are not limited to the following;
Running, walking, bodyweight exercises - squats, lunges,
press ups, sit ups, burpees. Team and partner exercises.
I HAVE SEEN BAD LADS ARMY IS THAT WHAT YOU DO?
No! We will not bully or humiliate anyone. We raise our voices to be heard not to shout at anyone.
WHO ARE THE BOOTCAMP INSTRUCTORS?
All our instructors are qualified fitness professionals with the necessary fitness industry qualifications and insurance or are ex Military Physical Training Instructors.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO BOOTCAMP?
There is no need to bring anything with you other than paperwork. If it's your first time, and any medication that you may need eg. asthma inhalers. We supply and carry the water along with your valuables.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
T-shirt, long sleeved top, shorts or trousers and a good pair of trainers. Please do not wear your best gym gear. As this is outdoor training you may get dirty, sandy or wet! In the winter you should bring another layer with you to pop on at the end of the session to ensure that you stay warm.
DO YOU STILL RUN BOOTCAMP IN THE WINTER?
With safety at the forefront we train all year round in all weathers. We use glow sticks and torches as a means of direction when the lighting is not so good.
IS THERE SOMEWHERE SAFE I CAN PARK?
Yes, all of our sessions have parking close by, we will always ensure that everyone gets back to their car safely.
